Henry R. Fenton provides Litigation, and Labor and Employment Law services for the firm. Henry is a 1969 graduate of the UCLA School of Law. He received his A.B., cum laude, in history from UCLA in 1966. Henry is admitted to the California Bar and to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, D.C. Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Henry's practice focuses on representing providers and employers in connection with litigation, arbitration, and mediation, labor law for management, medical staff and Medical Board disciplinary matters and Medicare and Medicaid audits.
Henry has published 22 articles on issues affecting physicians and also regularly lectures on these topics. Henry represented the plaintiff in Potvin vs. Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, a landmark California Supreme Court case that has established due process rights for physicians who have been terminated by managed care organizations. Henry has been recognized by California Lawyer magazine as one of its Lawyers of the Year.
Henry has served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and is currently a member of the California Academy of Attorneys for Healthcare Professionals, the Executive Committee of the Health Care Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys and the American Health Lawyers Association.
